Well the IDUG North America 2008 conference is now over but it finished with an outstanding day last Thursday. For me the day started off with a special interest group meeting on The Changing Role of the DBA . Without a doubt the most discussed subject in the group was the increasing amount of time spent by database administrators as consultants/advisors to lines of business and application teams.
