Just over two years will go by before the next new release of DB2 becomes available. DB2 Version 2 Release 3 was announced September 5, 1990 and became generally available (GA) on October 25, 1991 and then again on March 22, 1992. The first GA was for the base product. The second GA was for the delivery of remoter unit of work (RUOW). DB2 V2.3 may be one of my personal favorite releases.
