Wanting to install 10G or 11 onto a windows 2003 server now with a view to upgrading to 2008 server by year end. Will I need to re install oracle if I upgrade the server? Can I get away with an OS upgrade?

Hi, We have OLTP system on 10gR2 with RAC (3 nodes) with lot of active tables. Means deletes, inserts and updates. We are only gathering 1% sample statistcs. After bringing the system for couple of hours all the statistics are becoming stale. All our queries use bind varaibles and cursor sharing parameter is set to EXACT.

I determine how much I have been using from ASH - yes I know it's not perfect, but it'll do me for now. I do need to determine how many slaves my SQL is going to ask for.
